Maison will not face Brennan charge

Halesowen boss Morell Maison will not face any charges from Wiltshire Police after Dean Brennan dropped his grievance against him.

The duo were alleged to have come to blows after Yeltz's 2-1 defeat at Chippenham Town last month, leading to striker Brennan making a complaint to police.

General manager Colin Brookes said: "It's good news for everyone at the club and we can all get on with things. It has been on our minds for the past month and it's very positive news, but there are no winners."

Brennan is still expected to leave The Grove.

Maison can now take his side to Durham City for their FA Trophy first-round qualifying tie without the issue hanging over his head.

Halesowen will be aiming to end Durham's two-year unbeaten home record at the Arnott Stadium and Maison believes if they perform to their

capabilities, they will win.

He said: "We'll get what we deserve. If we deserve to win, we'll win, and if we're not good enough we'll lose. I'm not too analytical about things – it's very rare luck conspires against you.

"Each game we play is a different test."
