Christie no concern of Harriers

Kidderminster manager Mark Yates will not be concerned by coming up against former striker Iyseden Christie when the Harriers go to Kettering in the Blue Square Premier tomorrow (3pm).

Harriers face Christie for the first time since he ended his second spell at Aggborough this summer - although he will not line up for the club he signed for upon his departure.

The 31-year-old is on loan at the A-Line Arena from Stevenage, where he has made just three appearances since his summer move, with a view to a permanent move in January.

Some would say that the grass had not proved greener for the former Harriers man but as far as Yates is concerned Christie is no longer his concern.

The manager said: "I am not concerned about our former players, I am only concerned with us getting a result. We have a tough trip ahead of us and we must make sure we are ready."

"We wanted to keep Iyseden but he chose to go to Stevenage for a better deal. We made him an offer but he chose to go elsewhere, so he left with our best wishes.

"There are no hard feelings between us, but he is not my player anymore, so he is not my concern."
