Kidderminster top scorer Justin Richards is out of Saturday's crunch clash at Kettering - but could return for the FA Cup tie at Kings Lynn the following week.
The striker missed the 3-1 win against Ebbsfleet at the weekend, after hobbling off with a hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw at Northwich last Tuesday.
Darryl Knights and new signing Stefan Moore continue to jostle for the vacant spot alongside Matthew Barnes-Homer, now manager Mark Yates must decide between the two for their trip to the A-Line Arena.
The Harriers boss is also adamant that eight-goal Richards will not be back until he is ready.
He said: "He won't be fit for the weekend and he we won't be rushing him back. It is almost 100 per cent that he won't go to Kettering. There is the possibility that he could play in the FA Cup, we will have to see how he pushes on.
"We obviously would like him back but we won't be putting any silly time frames on it. If you rush a player back from a hamstring injury, he could end up straight back on the treatment table.
"He is back when he is back and we will just have do without him. We are hoping he won't be too long."
