Chasetown were left to rue several missed chances in the first half as Rothwell held them in this FA Cup second qualifying round tie.
The home side had a good chance in the opening minute when a Harry Harris freekick was headed against the bar by Richard Teesdale, but the linesman's flag was up.
A shaky moment in the Scholars defence in the 15th minute saw a failed clearance put through to Kevin Byrne, who fired just wide.
The home side had the better of the chances in the first half, with several efforts from Dean Perrow and Gary Birch saved, before on the half hour a through ball found Perrow, with Molong miskicking as he attempted to clear.
Perrow's shot round him was blocked by a defender, as was Birch's follow-up.
The visitors took the lead in the 41st minute, when a long free-kick by Glass into the area was nodded in by skipper Martin Flannigan.
Five minutes after the break, Chasetown were level after a good run down the left by Dyer saw him pass to Mark Branch, whose cross was headed down by Birch into Perrow's path, and the striker stooped low to nod past the keeper.
