Harriers search for table-topping win
Kidderminster skipper Mark Creighton believes goalkeeper Adam Bartlett is the best in non-league as the on-fire Harriers aim to top the league at Eastbourne tomorrow (3pm).
Mark Yates' men aim to do what no Harriers side, at any stage of a season, have done since the club were champions of the top tier of non-league football in 2000 - top the league.
For that to happen, they must win in East Sussex and hope that second placed Kettering beat league leaders Crawley, who have a superior goal difference to third placed Harriers of four goals.
A long shot it may be, but Creighton has confidence.
He said: "It could happen. We are confident we can win at Eastbourne and then it will all depend on Kettering. If we were to go top, I would be delighted - for the gaffer especially.
"He is buzzing at the moment, absolutely buzzing. It would be brilliant for the club."
It is the form of Bartlett which has really impressed the captain, who plays just ahead of him in central defence. The new No 1 only joined from Blyth Spartans in the summer and has already kept four clean sheets.
Creighton said: "Adam is a great lad off the pitch and on the pitch, there is no better goalkeeper in non-league. There is not even anyone that can come anywhere near him. Without a doubt - and I never lie!
"It is a shame on Dean Coleman, who was first choice and is a good goalkeeper himself, but he understands. 'Barts' is doing well and he has wait for his chance."
