The hosts had even led in the first half through a Pierre Joseph-Dubois goal, although that was cancelled out by a strike from Justin Richards before half-time.
Knights, on as a second-half sub, had the last word to press his claims for a first-team place, securing the Harriers elusive first win on the road this season.

He said: "We got a result without playing particularly well but we have to learn to be a hell of a lot better on Tuesday against York.
"It wasn't pretty but it was a game I felt we could win. We put some offensive players on at the end and managed to get a result - some will say fortuitously, but we deserve that.
"It was important we got something out of the game - we just weren't defending with our usual assurance and we're better than that.
"We just needed three points."
