Harriers search for elusive first win
Kidderminster manager Mark Yates is urging his side to do something about their away form as they go to Weymouth in the Blue Square Premier tomorrow (3pm).
Kidderminster manager Mark Yates is urging his side to do something about their away form as they go to Weymouth in the Blue Square Premier tomorrow (3pm).
The Harriers have yet to win on the road this season in four attempts. Early reverses at Cambridge and Mansfield were followed by an encouraging point at Burton, then a 3-2 defeat at Grays on their last trip.
Coversely, Yates' side are unbeaten on home turf in five matches, with a point against Lewes on the opening day the only blemish on a near-perfect home record.
If the Harriers can arrest their away form and maintain Fortress Aggborough, the possibilites are endless.
Yates, who is on his way down to Dorset for an overnight stay with the squad, is eager to make sure the Wessex Stadium is not the scene of another disappointment.
He said: "It is about time we got that away win. It could be like when we were looking for our first win, then it snowballs and so on. At home we are fine, so our away form is the next step.
"We have improved in recent trips to Burton and Grays, so we are not far away."
Harriers will wait on the fitness of midfielder Russell Penn, who missed the England C game in midweek.
