A waterlogged pitch prevented any play against Wolverhampton and handed the trophy to club captain Paul Wicker.

It is the first time a club have landed a hat-trick of titles since Walsall also achieved the feat back in 1935-37.

Wicker received the trophy from league president Barry Stokes and believes team spirit had been the key.

He said: "We all pull together here – on and off the pitch."

Himley, the only side who could have stopped Walsall winning the league, were also washed out but finished runners up - after Barnt Green were beaten by Knowle & Dorridge.

West Bromwich Dartmouth will be playing Division One cricket next season, joining Shifnal in being relegated.

Dartmouth saw their hopes die when their game against Moseley was also abandoned, while Shifnal could score only 80 against Walmley and that total was never going to be enough.

Leamington Spa won to seal another season in the Premier.

Shrewsbury were promoted from Division One after dismissing Dorridge for 85 to win the title. They are joined by Bromsgrove.

Berkswell and Smethwick are up from Division Two, Smethwick leaving as champions.
