Blue Square no picnic - Yates

Kidderminster manager Mark Yates has warned his side the Blue Square Premier will not get any easier from here as he took stock of the Harriers season so far.
Most at Aggborough have a reason to smile again after some much improved form over the Bank Holiday, their first win in a 4-0 home drubbing of Altrincham preceding a useful point after trailing twice at Burton.
Yet Yates is urging his side not to rest on their laurels, pointing to seven difficult games between now and October, which will define with 12 games played exactly how the Harriers have started.
He said: "It does not get any easier from here. We face Rushden, Torquay, Grays, Oxford, Weymouth, York and Eastbourne over the next month and we need to keep the momentum we have. We have got to be on our game to get out of that spell with a decent points tally.
"I could not fault the players over the Bank Holiday weekend. I asked for them to go out there and get the win we needed against Altrincham and thats is what they did.
"It is always tough playing two games in such a short space of time, especially to go to such a tough place like Burton. That we came from behind twice to get a point shows the character we have. On another note, I thought it was a great game to watch between two sides who like to play football.
The Harriers have also have international recognition in their ranks this week, with goalkeeper Adam Bartlett and midfielder Russell Penn in the England C squad to play Bosnia & Herzegovina on September 16 in Sarajevo.
Yates is pleased for his boys - as long as they come back in one piece.
He said: "The club are happy for Russell and Adam to be involved with the England squad. It is always an honour to be recognised for your country. Russell has been involved before but this is Adam's first involvement as a Harriers player.
"My only fear is that may pick up knocks, although if they come through fine they will not even miss any game time. I hope they do well and I will be even happier to see them return unscathed!"
