The Express & Star has launched a new version of its website for mobile phones.

Expressandstar.com now offers news and sport content which is tailored for users to access from internet-enabled phones.

You can log on to the easy-to-use site anywhere with an internet signal for your mobile phone.

Readers will be able to have their say and join the ongoing on-line debates by posting comments on individual stories.

So if you are at the football and want to give your views on your team, visit the website from your seat in the ground.

Whether you want to know what is happening in the region or the latest news from Molineux or The Hawthorns, expressandstar.com/mobile is at your fingertips.

The new site will be updated with breaking news throughout the day.

Free to access beyond the charges of mobile operators, the site was built by the Midland News Association's on-line arm MNA Digital, working with mobile technology partner Wapple, based in Bromsgrove.

The site is tailored for small screen needs by featuring a simplified navigation to make it easier to access lead stories.

Readers will also be able to view large photos in the picture galleries.

Express & Star internet news editor Tim Walters said: "This exciting new development will mean on-line readers do not have to be sat in front of a keyboard to be part of the Express & Star's web community.

"We particularly want to hear from people who are at live events, especially supporting our clubs as their campaigns get under way."

David Ratcliffe, MNA Digital head of digital, said the number of readers accessing the MNA websites using mobile phones has grown steadily in recent months.

If you want a link to the new site to be sent to your phone in a free text message, just text MOBILE to 64040.
