An even first 15 minutes saw the two sides cancel each other out.

Then, from a corner, the referee adjudged Gary Birch to have been held down and a penalty was given.

Birch saw the keeper Morrell palm his shot away for another corner.

The second half began in similar fashion and Chasetown then spurned their second penalty chance after Onokah was brought down.

This time Dyer took the spot-kick but it was again parried away.

Chasetown's league programme kicks off next Saturday as they entertain Barton Rovers at the Scholars Ground (kick-off 3pm).
