Kidderminster manager Mark Yates is busy finalising his final squad list ahead of the big kick-off against Lewes at Aggborough in the Blue Square Premier on Saturday.
The Harriers boss is locked in talks with the trial players at the club he wishes to keep for the campaign and is expecting to announce signings over the next 24 hours.
Yates also hopes to tie up the loan signing of a Football League player in time for Saturday, a policy which served him well in the later stages of last season.
He said: "I am hopeful the squad will be sorted by Saturday. I certainly want the boys settled by the time we play on Saturday. We are in talks with the players we want and we should have news in the next day or so.
"Most of the trial players have applied themselves very well over the summer, so I have some tough decisions to make, but these are decisions I like making because it proves that they have impressed.
"The players that don't make the cut will go on to do very well elsewhere, I am sure. But, like most managers, I am constrained by a budget and will have to retain who I think will do the best job for us."
