Bully was left to fume after watching his side crash 6-0 to Wrexham in their latest pre-season friendly, a real horror show with Rangers looking nothing like the side that beat Kidderminster 1-0 last week.

The Stafford boss believes he will need another midfielder and a striker to ensure his squad is in good shape for the big kick off and, with six days to go, time is of the essense.

He said: "We are still looking for players because we are lacking in some areas. Even if it means getting rid of some who are already here to make room, then we will do it.

"I want an 18-man squad that works as a unit, sticks together and plays as a team whoever gets picked."

Rangers took to the field with trialist Jordan Lockie in the starting line-up, only for him to be hauled off at half-time with the team up against it. Another trialist, midfielder Jonti Richter, played the second half, with Mike Vickers given just 15 minutes to impress at the end.

None of them made much of an impact, although it is possible they may get another chance against the club where Bull made his name, Wolves, in Stafford's last pre-season friendly at Marston Road tomorrow night (7:45pm).

Bully will be looking for a much better show whatever happens, to banish the Wrexham horror from his mind as quickly as possible.

He said : "If we play like that against Wolves, I think I'll shoot myself. There was absolutely nothing positive we could take from the game. I just

can't understand how it could be so totally different after our great performance against Kidderminster on the Tuesday.

"I know Wrexham are still Football League quality, but I still expect my players to put up a bit of a fight.

"After the first goal, their heads went down. They dropped down and down again. I said after last season I didn't want any more of these kind of results

and I am not going to stand for it."

Stafford have their injury problems ahead of the Wolves clash, with club captain Wayne Daniel receiving treatment for a trapped nerve in his neck. Defender Stuart Pierpoint also limped off with a twisted knee and is under treatment.
