Stafford manager Steve Bull has revealed the identity of the three trial players who will play in tommorow's pre-season friendly against Wrexham at Marston Road tommorow (3pm).
Bully told the Express & Star yesterday that he will be fielding a right-sided player and a midfielder, who were not named until this morning, as right wing-back Jordan Lockie and former Rangers old boy Ged Murphy.
Another player has been thrown into the mix, with South African born midfielder Jonti Richter set to play after his release from Tamworth in the summer. He had been on trial at Blue Square Premier side Burton Albion, who did not offer terms to the 25-year-old.
Richter is experienced, at least in his homeland, with spells at Northern Spirit, Queensland Roar, New Zeland Knights and Manly United, before joining Tamworth in October 2007. He also represented Australia's U20 side at the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship.
Lockie is a free agent after his release from League Two Barnet in the summer, while Murphy will be a familiar face among the Marston Road faithful, having played for the club as recently as the end of the 2006/07 season. He is without a club after leaving Droylsden.
For Bull, the Wrexham clash is the perfect way to have a closer look at all three, with the last pre-season friendly against Wolves to follow on Tuesday.
That will be all the time the trio have to impress, as Bull is adamant that he wants his full squad signed up and settled by Wednesday at the latest.
He said: "All three should start against Wrexham. This is their big chance to show me what they can do and I hope they take it. If they are good enough, I will be happy to offer them a deal.
"It will be a hard game against good quality opposition so, if they impress, it will stick in my mind. They are certainly players who are needed in those areas, particularly on the right side.
"I want everything sorted by Wednesday at the latest, after we have played Wolves. That gives me time to work with the players ahead of our first game on the Saturday. But I am pleased with the way things are going. The squad is shaping up well.
