Teenager Rock is the leading candidate to replace first-choice wicketkeeper Paul Vinus, who is unavailable for the first leaders.

Normal understudy Duncan Willis is out after a minor operation, so second-team gloveman Rock is on standby.

Director of cricket Steve Derham said: "We're not sure who'll keep wicket yet. That decision still has to be made but it will probably be Tom Rock."

Old Hill will be looking to re-establish their supremacy after the chasing pack made up ground last weekend thanks to the abandonment of the leaders' match at Sutton Coldfield.

Derham admitted his side were disappointed.

He said: "I wasn't at the game, because I played for the thirds, but it was virtually the only game in all the divisions that was abandoned because of the weather.

"Our players were a little disappointed there hadn't been more preparation to get the pitch playable."

Halesowen have called up youngster Cameron Mapstone from the seconds to face Attock at the weekend, as captain Mark Fisher looks to add more runs to his side.

The skipper admits Halesowen must improve their batting if they are to climb the table. The out-of-form Ian Suckling has been dropped to make way for Mapstone.

Fisher said: "Ian hasn't been in the best of form so he'll play for the seconds this week and we've called up Cameron.

"It's been frustrating lately because we have been bowling and fielding pretty well but haven't been batting as well as we should have been.

"We know we need to score more runs as a team."

Fisher admitted that inconsistency in his side was a source of frustration.

He said: "We didn't have the best of starts but we have picked up some decent results since. Now we need to put more runs on the board, to give ourselves a better chance."

Mid-table Cannock entertain Wellington on Saturday looking to build on their six-wicket win over Harborne last week.

Cannock made 170-4 replying to Wellington's 169 all out.
