On-trial Josh Wagenaar committed a professional foul on Justin Richards, only for the local referee chose to award only a free-kick. He did not even caution the Canadian international.

Darryl Knights pulled the set-piece wide of Wagenaar's post and Kidderminster were left without a reward. Wagenaar had seen an eighth-minute clearance charged down by Richards and the former Bristol Rovers striker should have converted a Brian Smikle cross soon after.

Left-winger Simon Russell almost scored with an audacious 40-yard chip on the half-hour but Wagenaar backpeddled and tipped the ball to safety.

It was a surprise when the League One side took the lead. Midfielder Gavin Tomlin played a neat one-two with Paul Warne and crossed for trialist Orlando Smeekes to tap in.

Yeovil extended their lead in stoppage time at the end of the 80 minute contest. Nathan Jones was brought down on the edge of the box and Jones stepped up to fire in a low cross that was converted by Lloyd Owusu.
