Smit played a defiant knock in the middle order to delay things but Swindon were eventually dismissed for 180, in response to their opponents' 228-4.
Neil Whistance (50), Tahir Mohammed (40), Pindi Matharu (47 not out) and Adbul Salom (47) laid the foundations for the Wednesbury win with a challenging target.
Aussie Tim Evans led the Wednesbury bowling effort with 4-44 with support from Bal Matharu, who claimed 3-27.
