Harriers ready to take on Plymouth

Kidderminster manager Mark Yates is urging his side to keep up the good work as their pre-season preparations continue against Plymouth tonight (7:45pm).
The Harriers opened their pre-season programme with a hugely impressive 1-0 win against Hereford at Aggborough on Monday, with the benefits of a hard pre-season showing on what appeared to be a very fit side.
They now welcome Championship opposition in the shape of Paul Sturrock's side, who play the match before flying from Birmingham Airport to embark on their pre-season tour of Austria.
Yates said: "Plymouth actually approached us for a friendly. Their assistant manager Kevin Summerfield is an old friend of mine and they wanted a game to stay sharp before they go on tour.
"Naturally, we were happy to help and I am sure the experience will be worthwhile."
Pre-season tests are unlikely to come much sterner for the Harriers then Plymouth, an established Championship outfit some three levels up the tier than Yates's men, although that counted for nothing when League One Hereford were beaten.
He said: "They will provide a massive test I am sure. I have coached at that level with Burnley and the players are bigger and stronger. I am also told Plymouth are going to field a strong side. That is exactly the sort of test I am looking for.
"It is not really about the result, it is about the players showing me they are fit and ready for the new season. The standard is high at this club and long may it continue."
Yates also confirmed that decisions are likely to be made on some of his trial players after that match, adding that "they will not get a better chance to impress than this."
Kidderminster will be without defenders Mark Creighton and Luke Jones, who have picked up knocks and will not be risked as a precaution.
