Lowe could become a Harrier

Kidderminster manager Mark Yates is happy to help Keith Lowe maintain his fitness on trial at Aggborough - and is not ruling out signing the defender on a permanent basis.

The 22-year-old is still surprisingly without a club after his release from Championship side Wolves in the summer and figured for the Harriers in their pre-season friendly against Hereford on Monday.

A player who has never figured outside of the Football League, the full-back has over 70 appearances under his belt, including 14 for Wolves in the second tier of English football.

His talents and creditiinals are without question and, with Yates known to want to bolster his ranks ahead of the new Blue Square Premier campaign, nothing is being ruled out.

Yates said: "At this point in time, we are helping him out and I don't mind that because he's a good lad. You want those kind of people around the training ground.

"He is looking to go and play in the league and it's just a case of us having a look at him. I had Keith at Burnley when I was assistant and I can't believe he hasn't got a league club.

"But that is not to complete rule out him signing for us. I want the best players we can get at this football club and Keith falls into that category.

"I assume he will want decent money and it depends what he is looking for. We will have to see what happens."
