Old Hill look to Oz spinner

Table-topping Old Hill will be hoping their Aussie rules when they take on Shrewsbury at the weekend.

The clash may well be decided by who comes out on top of the battle between the left-arm spinners from Down Under – Old Hill's Chris Hansberry and Shrewsbury's Reece O'Connell.

Hansberry was the star as Old Hill climbed back into pole position thanks to a six-wicket victory over Bromsgrove last weekend.

He took 7-33 including a devastating spell that saw him bag six wickets without conceeding a run in six overs as Bromsgrove collapsed from 142-2 to 167 all out.

Shrewsbury spinner O'Connell will also provide a threat after taking over 60 league wickets last season.

Cannock's players have been called to a team meeting tonight to discuss their mid-season slump from second place to the bottom half of the table.

Captain Liam Hickey and other senior players will try to get their campaign back on track, by discussing the reasons for the loss of form in the wake of last weekend's 94-run defeat to Stratford.

Halesowen will have to overcome in-form Stratford on Saturday if they are to continue their climb up the first division table.

Mark Fisher's side cemented their place in the top half of the table last weekend when they collected a winning draw against Sutton Coldfield.
