Old Hill prepare for crunch clash
Old Hill are hoping to be at full pace for Saturday's division one top-table clash with Bromsgrove.
Old Hill are hoping to be at full pace for Saturday's division one top-table clash with Bromsgrove.
The second-placed Haden Hill side travel to leaders Bromsgrove looking to reunite new-ball bowlers Richard Jones and Geemal Hussain.
Hussain made a welcome return to action in last weekend's winning draw against Harborne.
Now Jones is earmarked for a spell with the ball after playing solely as a batsman in recent weeks because of an Achilles injury.
Coach Steve Derham is hoping the return of Hussain and Jones will boost their promotion bid.
He said: "We have been without our opening bowlers for a fair chunk of the season but we're still up their challenging.
"It was good to see Geemal back bowling last weekend and we're hoping Richard will be given the all clear to bowl on Saturday.
"Having those two back in tandem will certainly be a boost."
