Cannock & Rugeley are gearing up for what skipper Aqil Ahmed describes as a "make or break" period in their season.
After losing their opening three games, the Rawnsley men have powered into second place on the back of an unbeaten eight-game Staffs Clubs sequence, with struggling Swindon the latest to be swept aside last weekend.
A 122-run victory brought C&R win number six of the summer and left Ahmed eagerly looking forward to a series of top-of-the-table clashes.
He said: "The next few weeks could make or break us. We have to play Springvale, Brewood, Milford Hall, Wednesbury and Pelsall.
"It's a tough run but we are playing well and confidence is high.
"It took the new players a while to gel, but now we're playing as a team and everyone is pulling their weight."
Ashley Perry led the way on Saturday, top scoring with 97 as C&R posted 231.
Paceman Razwen Hussain and spinner Mohammed Mohboob then joined forces to dismiss Swindon for 109 – with Hussain claiming five wickets and Mohboob four.
