The game started with Wolverhampton sitting pretty at the top of the table and Dartmouth rock bottom, but it was the strugglers who came out on top of a low scoring affair.

Wolverhampton looked set to record their sixth success of the summer after dismissing the visitors for 143. Dave Manning and Indian overseas star Sairaj Bahatule took three wickets each with Rawlinson Tappin (41) top scoring for Dartmouth.

Experienced seamer Naheem Sajjad then took centre stage with the ball, picking up 4-35 from 19.4 overs as the Danescourt men were finally prised out for 124 after 59.4 overs. Teenager Aneesh Kapil top scored for the home side with 22.

Barnt Green took full advantage of Wolverhampton's slip to leapfrog them into top spot after a 60-run victory over Leamington.

Reigning champions Walsall are now the only unbeaten side in the top flight after boosting their hopes of a third successive premier league title with 12-run success against Shifnal.

The division's leading run scorer, New Zealander Brad Wilson, struck a half century and Mo Sheikh 33 as Walsall grafted their way to 187-9 from their 55 overs. Former Cannock spinner Guy Bulpitt took 6-59 for Shifnal.

Paceman Andy Miller then proved the match winner for Walsall, claiming 5-35 as Shifnal folded to 175 all out.

Himley moved into the top half of the table following an impressive seven-wicket victory at Kidderminster.

Not for the first time this summer Indian all-rounder TP Singh was the star of the show for the Stourbridge Road side.

Singh (3-31) and Chris Whelan (3-46) took the honours with the ball as the home side were dismissed for 163 before the overseas star led the victory charge with a classy 98 at the top of the order as Himley eased home inside 29 overs.

In division one, Old Hill just failed to grab victory in their clash with Harborne.

Richard Jones (74) and Australian Chris Hansberry (54) provided the baulk of the runs as Old Hill posted 211.

But the home side were then left frustrated as Harborne batted 57 overs to finish 188-9.

Cannock slipped to a seven-wicket defeat at Coventry NW while Halesowen bagged a winning draw from their clash with Dorridge.

Penn are still top of division two despite suffering their first reverse of the season, a five-run defeat against Old Elizabethans.

But Ombersley have moved to within four points of Richard Bradford's side after a winning draw against Smethwick.

Wombourne march on in division three after they extended their lead at the top to 42 points following a 130 run win over Studley.

Adam Hughes scored a century as Wombourne rattled up 263-6. Dave Quiney then bagged seven wickets as the visitors were shot out for 133.
