Time to push on - Wicker

Walsall captain Paul Wicker has identified the next six or seven games for the double champions to prove their title credentials.

The Gorway men go into tomorrow's clash with Kenilworth Wardens in fourth, 22 points off the top after last week's losing draw against Moseley.

But Wicker believes his side will push on in the middle third of the campaign, when they play Wolverhampton, Leamington, West Bromwich Dartmouth, Himley, Barnt Green, Walmley and Knowle and Dorridge.

He said: "We're just over a third of the way through the season and the next third will be crucial in terms of where we want to be with six or seven games to go."

Key to their hopes is bowler Andy Gray, who took 4-61 last weekend.

"Andy has been excellent for us," added Wicker. "He's a massively competitive bloke who desperately wants to play good cricket and has been very important for us.

"But everyone in our team is key to our titles hopes."
