Mick Keene (Sensas Total Angling) enjoyed a treble at Springlea this week, starting with his second Tuesday evening victory on the trot.

Having won on the Orfe Pool last Tuesday, Mick repeated the performance on the Trevors Pool this week, by scaling 25-13-0.

The same two anglers who followed Keene last time did so again, but in reverse order, with Kev Pilsbury (Sensas TA) getting second with 20-1-0 ahead of fellow STA man Perry Dalgarno on 16-5-0.

It was back to the Orfe Pool on Thursday where 'Keeno' was soon into his stride with carp to 5lbs on pellet and paste at peg 37.

Swapping between the 6metre line and close in, to keep the fish coming resulted in a new record for the pool of 91-2-8.Last Thursdays winner Bryan Travis (STA) slotted into second this time, improving on last weeks weight with 48-7-0 on long pole with pellet and maggot, at peg eight, with Pete Farrall (Springlea) finishing off the frame with 23-6-8 at peg 25.

Moving onto the Mallard on Saturday made no difference as Keene stamped his authority on the match, finishing well ahead of the rest on 59-6-0.Ê Paste and pellet worked again, with carp to 8lbs responding.

Pilsbury was second having 42-14-0 of carp to 6lbs on paste, to pull clear of Martin Travis (STA) on 25-7-0.

Robbie Griffiths (STA) included two lumps weighing 18-11-0 and 17-10-0 in his Dougie Hall memorial match winning 78-4-0, but would have won even without them.

Having spent much of the match with little to show for his efforts, peg 10 on the Mallard came to life for the last hour and a half to give Robbie his win.

Gareth Hanmer (STA) had looked a likely winner until Griffiths late surge, which left Gareth to settle for second with 39-4-0 on the worm from peg 6 on the Mallard. Third on the mallard, went to Ken Humphries (Morgans Angling) who had 30-14-0 of carp and bream on the meat at peg 41.

Orfe Pool winner was Nathan Spain (STA) whose 36-14-0 was second overall.
