Thomas returns after a spell at AFC Telford United, after being part of the Chasetown side that historically reached the third round of the FA Cup last season. He will likely line up in defence alongside Smith, who joins after his release from Conference North outfit Tamworth.
The 34-year-old brings a wealth of experience with him, having spent most of his 13-year career playing at Conference National level, sandwiched between over 100 League appearances for Kidderminster. Former Walsall apprentice Platt, 22, was with Halesowen and Willenhall last season.
The latest round of signings brings manager Charlie Blakemore's tally for the summer to five - with Gary Birch and Richard Teesdale already in place for next season.
