And Mowbray revealed today that he adopted an unusual method of dealing with the 1-0 loss – building a snowman at the crack of dawn yesterday with young son Lucas.
Mowbray said: "I was up at 7.00am yesterday building a snowman.
"My life is all about football and family and the family is always there to fall back on at times like this."
But Mowbray insisted neither he or his players will have any problems picking themselves up from their Wembley heartache as they head for the seaside and a match at Bloomfield Road.
Mowbray said: "I am always ready for the next game because if you can't cope with disappointment in this job then you shouldn't be in it.
"There is always another game to focus on and that is what we'll do.
"The players are fully aware of the programme that is in front them and they have got a determination to move forward.
"They won't need Churchillian speeches from me because they know what the challenge is."
