The Glassboys extended their unbeaten run to nine games with this narrow win.

The home side should have had the game sewn up by the break having had much the better of the first period, but the Bedfordshire outfit stepped up a gear after the re-start and they almost snatched a draw at the death with Nathan Bennett clearing off the line to keep out a header from Danny Ryan.

Stourbridge made an early breakthrough, grabbing the lead in the 10th minute through Calum Martin who marked his first start with a well-taken goal.

Craig Slater lofted the ball forward towards the edge of the box and Martin shrugged off his marker before hitting a low drive from the right-hand side of the area that went through the legs of visiting keeper Paul Taylor.

Stourbridge had further chances to extend their advantage as they continued to hold the upper hand.

However, after numerous misses, Nick Nolan almost levelled for the visitors.

Then, in stoppage time, Lewis Solly misjudged a cross, Danny Ryan rose to get in a header but Bennett hooked the ball off the line.
