Chasetown moved within touching distance of the play-offs with a fine all-round performance to sweep aside Stourport at Walshes Meadow.
Swifts survived the opening exchanges thanks to a timely tackle from Adam Robinson, who denied Dean Perrow.
The woodwork then came to the home side's rescue as Danny Smith outpaced the defence and squared for Perrow to sidefoot past Chris Jay only to see it cannon off the upright and bounce into the keeper's arms.
Perrow had the ball in the Swifts net in the 15th minute only for the celebrations to be ended by the assistant's raised flag.
Stourport's first threat came from Peter Wood, whose long range shot was helped over by keeper Lee Evans. Wood was then unlucky to see his drive fly across goal.
But Chasetown punished the miss in the 39th minute when Lucan Spittle scored his first goal for the club, heading home Nick Hawkins's corner.
Two goals in four minutes effectively handed the game to the visitors. In the 51st minute, Hawkins's initial shot was blocked and the ball ran kindly for Andy Penny, who smashed an unstoppable shot past Jay.
Penny doubled his tally in the 55th minute as his looping header dropped over the head of Jay to give Chasetown a 3-0 lead from another Hawkins set-piece.
With the game seemingly in the bag, Chasetown brought off the injured Smith to give Jermaine Gordon a chance to take on the visitors defence.
But when Will Gayton pulled a goal back in the 73rd minute with a fantastic long range shot, the Scholars had a nervy 10 minutes.
Perrow was again denied by the post after beating the keeper to the ball.
Gordon finally scored when he took full advantage of Jay's mistake to walk the ball in in the 93rd minute.
