Stourbridge facing injury nightmare

Stourbridge are battling an injury crisis ahead of their crunch promotion clash with Aylesbury tomorrow.

Stourbridge won at Buxton for the second time in a week to add an FA Trophy win to their FA Cup victory.

Ross Collins and Ryan Broadhurst joined Gary Hackett's walking wounded last weekend – adding to the boss' selection problems after Lee Bullimore and Jamie Whitcombe were ruled out due to a prior engagement.

Gavin Winfer is also suspended, prompting Hackett to hand recalls to Mark Jones and Ryan Mahon.

And the Stourbridge boss is backing them to make a decent impact when they return to the firing line.

"We've lost a few for whatever reasons which does obvious cause certain problems for a manager," he said.

"But we've got a good squad which has quality running through it and I won't hesitate in bringing back Mark and Ryan.

"They are players who have done well for me in the past and they are perhaps a bit unfortunate to be out of things."
