The Scholars raced into a two-goal lead after strikes from Mark Branch and Dean Perrow.

The two strikes were sandwiched by a moment of madness from Adam Cooper who lashed out at Perrow to earn a second yellow card.

The home side hit back, however, in the 65th minute, through Jose Blake and, 10 minutes later, James Husband made it 2-2 as Chasetown struggled to contain their hosts.

However, the Scholars struck twice in the dying minutes – Perrow and Danny Smith doing the damage – to end an extraordinary contest.
