Rangers plunged to new depths following the biggest defeat in the Blue Square Premier this season, which left them 10 points from safety with 13 games left.

"It was embarrassing and the players know it. I've only been managing for four games, but I think this was the worst performance I've ever seen from a side in 20 years in football," said Bull.

"I just hope they slept last night. I know there's a difference between full-time and part-time, but you have to put a show on for people.

"We can't even do basics – we can't pass a ball 10 yards, so that's what we'll be doing in training on Thursday – basic stuff because they dribbled around us night.

"It was as if they'd left their brains at work – we couldn't pass the ball, chase it – it was a waste of time.

"Some of the players here are on full-time wages – I'd be happy on what they take home a week anyway."

The Wolves legend insists he hasn't given up hope of surviving the drop.

"If we give up, these players might as well go on holiday now," he said.

"There's no chance of that. These lads will keep working on trying to get it right until the end of the season.

"Rome wasn't built in a day and I'm here to plan for next year. I've got no regrets.

"Why should I? I've got a rung on the ladder now and we'll take it from here.

"But if we're going down, I want us to go down fighting. I want to show the supporters that I can bring something to the club.

"The players here are playing for the shirt, but I'm struggling to pick two or three out of those who played last night for next season."
