Pics manager Paul Holleran was forced to make one change to the side that lost narrowly at Aylesbury on Saturday as defender Lee Barrow returned in place of injured Ian Cooper.

The home side went into the game on the back of four victories but Olympic soon pegged them back.

In the 28th minute the visitors were gifted the lead in bizarre circumstances when Dave Haywood played an inviting ball into the hole for Junior Brown to chase.

Defender Lyndon Tomkins anticipated the danger and sent a header to his keeper.

But Sam Gilder was in a world of his own and realised too late that the ball had gone beyond him and was trickling over the line.

The home side were not helped when star striker Kevin Slack was soon forced to depart injured.

Twice in quick succession the Cleeve defence had to make last-ditch clearances off the line.

The second half saw Rushall continue where they had left off, but six minutes in they had keeper Tony Breeden to thank when Cleeve front-runner Luke Corbett was gifted a free header barely six yards out.

Breeden made a breathtaking point-blank save.

A minute later Rushall responded in kind, but the home stopper was equally alert in thwarting Craig Marshall's fierce drive.

Although the Pics were forced to weather a storm for ten minutes, the 80th minute saw them double their advantage.

An excellent three-man move saw Neil Barnfield and Brown combine to set up top scorer Richard Beale to finish with aplomb.

Dan Shatford fired home a late – and harsh – penalty for Cleeve.
