Harriers also contributed to their own downfall when Iyseden Christie had a fifth minute penalty saved by former Aggborough goalkeeper Ryan Clarke.

Mark Yates' under achievers began like a house on fire and went ahead six minutes after Christie's costly miss.

Penn gained possession just inside his own half and set off on a dazzling run which ended with him cutting inside and scoring with a splendid low curling shot past Clarke.

It was the midfielder's seventh goal of the season and ended Harriers run of three matches without being able to find the net.

After an impressive opening 20 minutes Kidderminster looked capable of registering their first league double of the season following a 1-0 win at Salisbury earlier in the season.

The Whites, however, had different ideas and turned the entertaining game on its head with two goals in the space of four minutes.

The equaliser came in the 25th minute when Liam Feeney knocked the ball into an empty net after colliding with Harriers' keeper Chris MacKenzie.

Worse was to follow for Kidderminster when Feeney set up Rob Matthews for second.

After the break Harriers huffed and puffed in a bid to back into the game, but were unable to prevent play-off hopefuls Salisbury from picking up the points.

Afterwards disappointed Yates described his side's performance as "naive".

He said: "I doesn't get any better than being 1-0 up and creating a few chances, but we just gifted them two diabolical goals and proved how naive we can be.

"We have a habit of making it difficult for ourselves. Some of the players have got to learn and learn quickly."
