Chasetown welcome back trio
Chasetown have received a boost on three fronts for their home clash against Woodford tomorrow.
Chasetown have received a boost on three fronts for their home clash against Woodford tomorrow.
Top scorer Dean Perrow and midfielder Nick Hawkins, as well as new signing Jermaine Gordon, are all available again.
Perrow and Hawkins missed last week's defeat against Bedworth with flu and work respectively, while Gordon has finished a five-match ban. Hawkins could replace Scott Clamp, who started a three-match ban after his sending off against Willenhall.
Manager Charlie Blakemore has failed in a bid to sign Stourbridge midfielder Leon Broadhurst.
But he's determined to bring more goals from midfield and has served seven days for Studley's Dean Curtis and Market Drayton's former Hednesford player Tom Ward.
Blakemore is looking for a response from his side after four successive defeats.
"We're a scalp and everyone wants to thrash us but our lads have to stand up and be counted" he said.
"It's a role reversal from our FA Cup run – teams have been getting in our faces but we have to stop feeling sorry for ourselves.
The Branch brothers John and Mark, who were so pivotal in the Cup games, have recently been dropped.
And Blakemore warned: "They needed a kick up the backside."
