Disappointing Yate posed few problems for the title-chasing visitors although recent signing Craig Davidge and David Anyinsah hit early efforts over the bar.

Halesowen soon took control with Zema Abbey's shot blocked before Dean Brennan volleyed wide from Shane Paul's 25th minute cross.

A minute before the interval Brennan then put Abbey through on goal but he slotted wide of the post.

Yeltz took a 49th minute lead when Darren Caskey lofted a delightful ball for Brennan to hold off his marker and finish.

Leading scorer Brennan hit his second goal by sidestepping his defender and his low drive squirmed underneath the body of goalkeeper Tony Court in the 55th minute.

Jay Denny helped the ball on for Abbey to make it 3-0 four minutes later. Brennan was denied his hat-trick when his 69th minute tap-in was disallowed for offside.
