Harriers boss losing patience

Kidderminster manager Mark Yates wants to sign a defender today after losing patience with his brittle side following their FA Trophy exit.

Yates was furious with the defending against Weymouth on Tuesday as Harriers bowed out on penalties after a 2-2 draw.

He is now eyeing a deal for a new defender in a bid to stem the flow of goals past Scott Bevan – starting against Droylsden tomorrow.

"I've made a few inquiries and hopefully everything will fall into place," he said.

Midfielders Russ Penn and Dean Bennett are both expected to be available despite a knee injury and illness respectively.

Meanwhile, Yates has reported no fresh inquiries for leading scorer James Constable, who was reportedly a target for Shrewsbury.
