16.56: Injury time. Ledley shoots over for Cardiff, to the relief of Albion fans.

16.53: There's still time for an Albion winner. Who would bet against it?

16.50: A Cardiff own goal levels this six goal thriller. Blushing defender Roger Johnson is the hero for Albion, putting into his own net from six yards.

16.48: Greening is booked for a foul on two-goal Parry.

16.44: Cardiff start to control things a bit more, frustrating Albion's hopes of sharing the points.

16.39: It's a thriller at the Hawthorns, says our man Madeley at the match. It's all West Brom as Cardiff go deep to defend their lead. A penalty call following an apparent Cardiff handball is waved away by the ref.

16.33: Albrechtsen scores. He heads home Chris Brunt's cross from six yards. As The Klaxxons recently put it: "It's not over, not over, not over, not over yet." Grace did the original in the 90s, mind you.

16.26: Albion almost get on back but are thwarted by the offside flag. Madeley: "They are throwing caution to the wind with only Barnett and Albrechtsen left back".

16.19: The Baggies are really pressing but is a two-goal deficit too much to make up?

16.14: Albion pressing forward are caught on the break and Wolves target Joe Ledley makes it 3-1.

16.08: back underway at The Hawthorns.

15.53: After six minutes of injury time, it's half time. Mr Mowbray will want to get his players fired up to come out and get the equaliser. Cardiff are looking dangerous, though.

15.49: Parry almost gets his hattrick but his effort goes over.

15.41: Hoefkens shoots over. Chris Brunt's shot is caught by Oakes.

15.34: Albion pull one back. Sub Roman Bednar finds the net. He heads home Jonathan Greening's free kick following a foul on Phillips.

15.33: Cardiff score again. Parry receives Hasselbank's flick on and buries it past Kiely. Albion are in trouble now.

15.28: Shot by Kevin Phillips from 30 yards, is parried by Oakes. Teixeira's corner is cleared. "It would have been a fine equaliser," says our man Madeley.

15.26: Former Villa winger Peter Whittingham has a shot from 20 yards for Cardiff. It goes wide.

15.16: Ishmael Miller cannot continue so in-form Roman Bednar takes his place. The Hawthorns crowd was "stunned" by the early goal, according to our man at the game Steve Madeley. Who can blame them?

15.08: Hands up who expected that start? Kent Wolf says: "Come on you Baggies, you KNOW you can do better."

15.01: Cardiff are in front straight away just 29 seconds on the clock. Paul Parry has too much room and fires over Kiely from 25 yards, the shot did take a little deflection and Albion have work to go.

15.00: Game kicks off at The Hawthorns.

14.55: Five minutes to kick off and The Hawthorns is filling up quickly for today's game.

14.11: Mowbray goes with those who didn't go the distance in midweek. Miller is preferred to Bednar upfront.

Three changes from the side which beat Charlton. Koren, Brunt and Phillips returning to the side.

Albion: Kiely, Hoefkens, Barnett, Pele, Albrechtsen, Teixeira, Greening, Koren, Brunt, Phillips, Miller.

Subs: Bednar, Gera, Steele, Hodgkiss, Morrison.

Thoughts on that Baggies fans?

14.00: Albion face arguably the Championship's form side in Dave Jones' Cardiff.

The Welsh outfit beat the Baggies at The Hawthorns in the Carling Cup earlier this season and will be out to repeat the dose.

But Mowbray's men have the potential to stretch their gap at the top to a possible five points.

Nearest rivals Bristol City face a tough game at Crystal Palace and third placed Watford play Charlton.
