The concerns were raised over the police costs which could run to £20,000.

Club secretary and chief executive Mick Joiner also revealed he is "99.9 per cent" certain the game will go ahead at Chasetown.

A decision was expected later today on where the game will take place following a meeting between club officials, the Football Association's safety committee, stewards from Cardiff and Staffordshire Police.

But Mr Joiner said ticket prices would be in line with what fans paid for the previous tie against Port Vale.

"I want to re-assure fans that the club will not charge any more for this game than we did for the Port Vale tie, which were £18 and £12," said Mr Joiner.

"No matter what the club makes, we are determined that everyone who wants to be there, will be there, to tell their grandkids they were there the day Chasetown played Cardiff."

Mr Joiner revealed the club were indebted to Mr Noel Sweeney from Chasetown Civil Engineering for acting as event sponsor for the Vale match which helped keep admission costs down.

And he revealed he would be seeking similar help for the Cardiff game.

"We're relying on local businessmen to help where they can," added Mr Joiner.
