Rushall boss fed-up of changes

Rushall manager Paul Holleran is craving stability at Dales Lane after admitting he has never before been forced into so many changes.

Holleran signed two more players this week as two more moved on and admitted the revolving door of the Pics' first team is getting frustrating.

Francino Francis left Dales Lane for Halesowen after making just one appearance for Holleran and another striker, Aaron Farrell, has left for Stratford.

In have come midfielder Ian Cooper from Halesowen and free agent striker Paul McMahon, and with his injury list showing signs of clearing Holleran is looking for minimum disruption for the next few weeks.

He said: "I have never known anything like what's happened here in the last few weeks.Every time it looks as though we're getting a few players back we get more injured or some decide to leave.

"It's been unbelievable. In all my time in football I have never signed so many players in such a short space of time but hopefully we're getting a bit more stable now.

"I think there is light at the end of the tunnel in terms of injuries so hopefully in the next couple of weeks thing will settle down and we can get a settled team."

Holleran admitted the departures of Francis and Farrell so soon after they signed for the club were not huge shocks. He said: "When Francino signed it was always an open-ended thing and we didn't know how long he would stay.

"It would be fair to say he wasn't settled here so when Halesowen contacted me I smoothed the way. The same goes for Farrell."

Meanwhile, Holleran has insisted football is irrelevant as midfielder Lee Williams fights to regain the sight in his right eye.

The former Halesowen man was injured in a freak accident with his car door last week and is now recovering at home. Holleran said: "When he first did it the doctors told him the worst case scenario was that it would take years to get his sight back and the best case scenario was that it would take months.

"Since then they say he has improved and when I spoke to him on Thursday he said he was much more comfortable and he sounded much more positive.

"So hopefully the best case scenario will come true and he will be back to full health as soon as possible. The football side of things isn't an issue. It's about a young man with a young family getting the rest of his life sorted out."
