Mark Branch equalised for the non-league team just before half time after Luke Rogers had put the League One side ahead in the 16th minute.

Port Vale had much of the possession but failed to create many chances.

They were booed off in front of their home fans at Vale Park.

The winners of the replay will face a third round home tie against Cardiff.

The Premiership champions beat the Villans 2-1 at Old Trafford in the same round last year.

Birmingham City travel to Huddersfield and Walsall will host Millwall if they win their replay against Northampton.
