The Scholars – who have played only one league game in the last month – were due to play Leighton.

But the rival club have refused to play, leaving Chasetown without a fixture when they are already four games behind many other Midlands division clubs.

"We played Tuesday and we've got a game next Tuesday, but we've been left without any match tomorrow," said Blakemore.

"We are out of the FA Trophy and so we were available to play in the league, but Leighton refused to play us.

"I think the Southern League should have made them play because we are already four games behind teams and we'll have a log-jam of fixtures by December and January."

Chasetown have served a seven-day approach for Willenhall's Todd Perry.
