Duo fight for Harriers spot
John Munday and Gavin Hurren were today locked in a two-way battle to replace suspended Kidderminster captain Stuart Whitehead tomorrow.
The Harriers skipper is banned for the match against Woking at Aggborough after being sent off for a professional foul in the FA Cup at Ware last week.
And Yates today confirmed that both Munday and Hurren still have a chance to win a place in the team.
Yates said: "It will be one of those two to replace Stuart but we haven't quite made our minds up yet.
"We have had a good week's training with all of the lads so we will sit down and assess how they have done in training today and make a decision.
"It might depend a little bit on how Russ Penn and James Constable are after being away this week."
Penn and Constable were due back at Aggborough today after a week away with the England C side in Finland, but both men are desperate to be involved against Woking.
Yates said: "I have spoken to the two lads and they both played 90 minutes for England and they won 2-0.
"But they are both saying they are fit and they want to play on Saturday."
Yates is urging his players to build on a positive run of form in what he expects to be an attractive match tomorrow.
He said: "Woking are a good side with good players and they will try to play football.
"We will give them the respect they deserve but as always it's all about what we do. We have played well in the last few weeks and we want to keep our run going in all competitions."
