Walsall midfielder Mark Bradley today admitted to mixed feelings as he left the Banks's Stadium for 10 days of international duty.
The 19-year-old linked up with the Welsh under-21s ahead of their UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifying clashes with Bosnia-Herzegovina and France, which will land him a live appearance on Sky Sports.
His involvement with Brian Flynn's side will rule him out of the Saddlers' League One meeting with Luton on Saturday, ending his unbroken eight-match run of starts.
He said: "It's always an honour to play for your country.
"Hopefully I'll be involved in both games and get some minutes on the pitch.
"I'm disappointed to be missing the Luton game but, on the other hand, I'm looking forward to playing for my country.
"Bosnia will be a tough game and everyone knows about the quality of the French.
"We played them earlier in the year and they had a lot of good individuals. It will be a great experience.
"I'm pleased with how this season is going both at club and International level.
"Hopefully I can keep playing well, build on my consistency and push both Walsall and Wales forward."
Flynn's youngsters entertain Bosnia-Herzegovina at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground on Saturday (6pm) before facing France at Ninian Park, Cardiff, on November 20, live on Sky Sports at 8pm.
