Harriers duo get England call
Kidderminster duo James Constable and Russ Penn are poised for their England debuts after being called up to the national non-league squad.
The Harriers pair have been named in the squad for the England 'C' clash with Finland in Helsinki on November 14.
They are the first Kidderminster men in the England non-league set up since the club's relegation from the Football League in 2005, but they follow a rich tradition of Harriers men representing England.
Former Walsall hot shot Constable, who will return to the Harriers squad for tomorrow's trip to Burton, said: "I had three ambitions as a kid.
"One was to play in the Football League, one was to play at Wembley and one was to play for England.
"This is the final one of the three so I am delighted. It is a real honour to represent your country at any level."
Penn has been promoted to the full party after twice being placed on standby for the squad.
The midfielder said: "This is the highest honour that any non-league player can have so I am absolutely delighted.
"I knew there was a squad due out but I hadn't really given it much thought until the gaffer stood up in the dressing room and announced them myself and James had been called up.
"Having someone else from the club in the squad with me will make it even better."
Constable is back in full training for tomorrow's trip to the Pirelli Stadium after a hamstring injury, but he is unlikely to start after three weeks on the sidelines.
Scott Bevan, Simon Russell and Jeff Kenna are all still injured but Iyesden Christie is back.
