York 6 Rushall 0
Rushall's superb FA Cup run ended abruptly with a 6-0 thumping at Blue Square Premier outfit York.
Five goals in the final 20 minutes – including a 10-minute hat-trick from substitute Craig Farrell – underlined York's superior fitness.
Early pressure saw the hosts take a 19th minute lead when former Charlton youngster Onome Sodje was given too much time before beating Niki Preston and calmly picking his spot from 12 yards.
Rushall forced their best opening when York keeper Tom Evans blocked from Gary Birch at close range, while Grant Beckett hit the bar from 25 yards following a free kick.
In between, York almost made it 2-0 when a fierce, deflected 25-yarder from Stuart Elliott hit the bar.
Rushall lived dangerously after the break with Sodje causing all sorts of problems.
Twice he fired wide when well-placed before making it 2-0 with a 25-yard drive.
Rushal's heads dropped quickly and their hopes vanished on 77 minutes when unmarked substitute Farrell cut inside before firing across Breeden into the bottom left corner.
York extended their lead when Farrell was again given time and space to fire his second under Breeden.
Farrell completed his treble in the 88th minute when he fired home from the edge of the box past the exposed keeper.
In injury-time, Farrell turned provider for fellow substitute Nicky Wroe, who claimed an all too easy sixth goal for the Minstermen.
