New Halesowen manager Morell Maison has added top Southern League hotshot Dean Brennan to his squad in time for a debut against Cheshunt tomorrow.

Brennan, who was leading scorer in the league last season with 23 goals for Hemel Hempstead, has left Barton Rovers to join Maison's planned revolution at The Grove.

And he has been joined by goalkeeper Mark Osborn, who has joined the Yeltz on a three-month loan from Maison's former club, Kettering.

The new manager is delighted to have recruited Brennan and he is targeting more new signings in the weeks ahead.

He said: "We desperately needed someone who is able to put the ball in the net, otherwise there is no point in creating chances.

"Hopefully Dean will play a big part for us.

"I have signed Mark and I am trying to sign two more players. One might come before Saturday and the other one might have to wait until next week.

"The squad at the moment doesn't have enough depth to it and it doesn't really have enough quality."

"It possibly had the quality to finish ninth or 10th but that's not what we're about.

"We need to bring in players with quality and then it is up to the players who are already here to keep them out of the team."
