New Grand Prix rider Freddie Lindgren will skipper Wolves in the second leg of their WM Shield tie with Birmingham at Perry Barr tonight (7.45).

Lindgren, who was confirmed as a full-time member of the 2008 GP series early this week, takes over from Peter Karlsson who is rested.

The Parrys International Wolves lead 55-38 from the first leg at Monmore on Monday, but they take a much changed team across to the Second City.

Talented British youngsters Jack Hargreaves and Joe Haines are given a chance to impress at reserve and new signing Nicolai Klindt makes his third appearance of the season.

Manager Peter Adams said: "The scoreline from Monday puts us in the driving seat, but there is still a lot of work to be done at Perry Barr. It's a very different Wolves team going there and it could turn out to be an interesting night."

Birmingham are giving a trial to Czech Republic star Filip Sitera after Manuekl Hauzinger and Henning Bager were both ruled out through injury.

Brummies chief Graham Drury said: "We're expecting a great night of racing and, make no mistake, we are going for the aggregate win.

"Looking at the two teams I think we have what it takes to push them hard. I'll be interested to see how Lindgren goes around Perry Barr because he's one of a new generation of world class riders making his way into the Grand Prix."

Brummies face a busy end to the season as they go to Redcar on Thursday in the final of the Jack Young Shield with the return at Perry Barr on Sunday, the last action of a memorable campaign (6pm).

Birmingham: Filip Sitera, Phil Morris, Jason Lyons, Shaun Tacey, Claus Vissing, Paul Clews, Lee Smart.

Wolverhampton: Freddie Lindgren, William Lawson, Nicolai Klindt, Kenneth Hansen, Chris Kerr, Jack Hargreaves, Joe Haines.
