Striker Gary Birch gave Olympic a dream start with only seven minutes gone. His initial drive was well blocked by Rene Gilmartin, as was a follow-up effort.
But the former Walsall front- runner rifled home at the third attempt.

Olympic booked their place in the next round on 84 minutes when Dowdall lashed an unstoppable drive past Gilmartin.
