But Robinson said it was a good team performance - and the spot kick save was 'justice'. "Scott deserved his Man of the Match award - he hasn't had much to do in a few recent games, but he stood up today - you have to be brave against teams like Cambridge and he made some great reaction saves when needed," said the Rangers boss.

"It was a good point for us and may be a result that other teams in the league will look on having expected us to get beaten with the way Cambridge are set up.

"We knew it was going to be a difficult test, but it showed that if we can get our best 11 players out there on the pitch we can compete.

"We were desperate for a win at home, I kept Neil Grayson on and went with Nathan Smith, who nearly did it for us with a header, however this was a good point and we are all buoyed up by the result."

Tomorrow Rangers travel to Tamworth for a Staffordshire Senior Cup tie, but full back Fred Murray will be absent through suspension.

He had five yellow cards to his name and picked up a sixth in injury time on Saturday for dissent.
